Job Summary

We are looking to hire a talented PHP developer to manage our back-end services and ensure a seamless interchange of data between the server and our users. As a PHP developer, you will be responsible for developing and coding all server-side logic. You will also be required to maintain the central database and respond to requests from front-end developers.

To ensure success as a PHP developer, you should have in-depth knowledge of object-oriented PHP programming and working knowledge of front-end technologies including HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS. Ultimately, a top-level PHP Developer can design and build efficient PHP modules while seamlessly integrating front-end technologies.

Duties & Responsibilities

1.   Data Security Expertise: Develop and meticulously implement robust security measures and data protection settings to ensure the safeguarding of software and user data.

2.   Strategic Project Management: Oversee all facets of software development, effectively setting and achieving attainable goals for team members, thereby ensuring the timely completion of projects.

3.   Technical Leadership: Serve as a distinguished Senior Full Stack Developer, guaranteeing precise project status reporting and the prompt resolution of any arising issues.

4.   Collaborative Solutions Design: Collaborate seamlessly with architecture and front-end development teams to devise innovative solutions and establish unified roadmaps for projects.

5.   Strategic Planning: Devise, maintain, and execute short-term and long-term program goals and objectives, playing a pivotal role in shaping BGIS’s strategic plans and relevant policies for all projects.

6.   Workflow Management: Efficiently manage workflow and scheduling, adeptly addressing prioritization challenges and maintaining transparent communication of progress to stakeholders.

7.   Project Lifecycle Governance: Develop comprehensive project lifecycles, encompassing research, development, design, evaluation, testing, and the seamless delivery of products to the management team.

8.   Team Leadership: Efficiently lead the day-to-day operations of a development team, with a concentrated focus on front-end development. Ensure team members comprehend and meet project requirements.

9.   End-to-End Project Execution: Expertly manage and execute software development projects from their inception to the successful conclusion.

10. Application Systems Oversight: Vigilantly oversee and monitor the implementation of application systems for BG, contributing significantly to needs assessments, project prioritization, and strategic work planning.

11. Personnel Management: Exercise direct and strategic coordination of BGIS staff, which includes recruitment, mentorship, and coaching of developers at varying experience levels. Conduct comprehensive reviews, expertly manage performance, provide decisive project and technical leadership, and administer coaching and corrective action as necessitated.

12. Quality Assurance: Conduct rigorous code reviews, skillfully implement continuous integration and continuous deployment, meticulously report findings to developers, promptly rectify discrepancies in their work, and provide indispensable technical guidance to team members.

13. Cutting-Edge Technology Integration: Remain current with pertinent business aspects necessitating upgrades or enhancements. Seamlessly integrate relevant technologies in accordance with the latest trends and breakthroughs in the field of software development.

14. Full Software Development Cycle: Effectively oversee the entirety of the software development process, expertly guiding projects from the initial concept through to their successful deployment.

15. Database and Application Mastery: Demonstrate proficiency in the development and management of well-functioning databases and web-based applications.

16. Innovative Feature Integration: Actively drive the implementation of new features, rigorously aligned with business requirements and strategic objectives.

17. Best Practices Champion: Champion the establishment and promotion of software development standards, processes, and best practices, ensuring the delivery of scalable and high-quality software.

18. Task Assignment and Monitoring: Effectively allocate daily tasks to developers, scrupulously adhering to timelines, monitoring progress, and diligently evaluating task completion.

19. Coding Standards Vigilance: Maintain vigilant oversight of coding standards and best practices across the development team, assuring strict adherence.

20. Requirements Analysis: Collaborate closely with stakeholders and product management to methodically gather and refine software requirements. Skillfully analyze and translate these requirements into design and development efforts.

21. User-Centric Interface Design: Collaborate proactively with the team to devise and construct elegant, user-friendly, responsive, and interactive interfaces for web applications. Leverage diverse technologies, such as PHP, Laravel, React, Next.js, Vue.js, jQuery, Tailwind CSS, and Bootstrap. Carefully consider accessibility and interactivity to enrich the user experience.

22. Optimization Expertise: Dedicate efforts to optimizing applications for maximal speed and page loading efficiency.

23. Adaptable Task Management: any additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a similar field and Master degree is an asset.

Knowledge of front-end technologies including PHP, Laravel, Vue.js, jQuery,

Tailwind CSS, and Bootstrap

Understanding of object-oriented PHP programming.

Proficient with code versioning tools including Git and GitHub.

Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases.

Professional Experience: A minimum of 4 years of progressive work experience in a related field.

Language Knowledge:

Proficiency in Pashto, Dari, and English.
